Joel Jean-Baptiste / Athletic Director

Joel Jean-Baptiste / Athletic Director

Joel Jean-Baptiste is a former professional basketball player from France. In China, Joel has worked with athletes such as Liu Wei, Kobe Bryant, Caron Butler, Michael Beasley, Reggie Okosa and Guy Dupuy. Joel is the first non-Chinese to become a member of the Shanghai Basketball Association.

Joel Jean-Baptiste is the Head Coach of a D2 Boys’ High-School Basketball Team.

Joel Yoba / Operations

Joel Yoba is former basketball player from Cameroun where he played with Luc Mbah a Moute (NBA LA Clippers). Every summer Coach Joel gets a call from Luc Mbah (NBA), Joel Embid (NBA) and Ron Stewart (Tony Parker, Joachim Noah) to coach at their summer camp in Yaounde. Coach Joel is regarded as one of the best youth basketball coaches of his generation.

Coach Joel oversees youth basketball operations on the Puxi side of Shanghai and he is the Head Coach of a D1 Boys’ High-School Basketball Team.

 

Gianmarco Sapio / Operations

Gianmarco Sapio / Operations

Gianmarco is former basketball player from Italy. Starting at point-guard, he is both a playmaker and a scorer, once averaging 37 points in a season. Coach Gianmarco teaches unselfishness as he believes he could never have averaged that many points without the help of his teammates.

Coach Gianmarco oversees youth basketball operations on the Pudong side of Shanghai and he is the Head Coach of a D1 Girls’ High-School Basketball Team.

 

Thomas Albenque / Consultant

Thomas Albenque / Consultant

Thomas Albenque is a certified trainer from France. He led his team to the 2009 FFBB National Championship before moving to China. Coach Tom has been involved in several French and American basketball programs before joining BSU. He built his coaching background around children of all ages at TBA 2011, the biggest basketball camp in France.

Thomas Albenque returned to his professional career in France and operates as a consultant for BSU during holiday camps.
